United Nations International Trade Centre – Horticulture Trade Policy and Regulatory Reform (2014)

Michael Clarke provided review and mentor support for a UN International Trade Centre project designed to boost exports of Kinnow and Mango from Pakistan. The Trade Related Technical Assistance (TRTA II) program funded by the European Union was designed to strengthen the capacity of Pakistan to participate in international trade. Component 1 of the program aimed at assisting Pakistan to develop a coherent trade policy and attendant regulations for export competitiveness. Michael Clarke’s role was to undertake a review of the researcher’s discussion papers and reports, ensure that key findings / policy recommendations followed the agreed framework provided by the Public-Private Dialogue, assess the strength and coherence of recommendations and make further recommendations to improve the study.
